May half term week saw the return of the annual Staffordshire County Show and The Lewis Partnership were lucky enough to host the Cookery Theatre for the fourth time. This year we also engaged the The Stone Food & Drink Festival crew to give us a helping hand in the organisation and running of the theatre.
Cookery demonstratons were undertaken by seasoned demonstrators Amarpal Harrar (iCookIndian), Richard Finney (Stafford College) and Allan Jones & James Jeffryes (Keele Hall) along with our very own Stuart Bruce from The Red Lion, Bradley who completed his demonstration debut by taking to the stage on both days and was a resounding success.
The Cookery Theatre gives the opportunity to showcase some of Staffordshire’s best Chefs and local ingredients, and was this year combined with a number of talks and tasting events giving an air of variety to the theatre programme.
James Gillespie, Touchstone Wines, Stone presented tutored wine tasting – Red White & Rose, Nick Griffin – Griffins of Stone gave a sausage making demonstration whilst Greg Kimber from Nelsons Gin and Brad from Lymestone brewery kept us entertained in their talks and tastings slots of Gin and Ale.
If you had the chance to visit the Cookery Theatre then we hope you enjoyed the events. We certainly had a great two days!
