MAKE EASTER EGGSTRA SPECIAL
There’s something so optimistic about spring. After a long, grey winter it’s like a breath of fresh air, it makes us want to get out and take advantage of the longer daylight hours. It has us thinking of holidays, frolicking lambs, treating mums, and seeking easter eggs as we celebrate new beginnings.
DAFFODILS, SWANS, FRESHLY MOWN LAWNS
It’s the time of year that the tourism industry awakens, the big visitor attractions like nearby Alton Towers reopen, and we all prepare for a fresh new season. Daffodils are starting to bloom on the lakeside, it’s mating season for our resident swans, the air is fresh with the smell of newly mown lawns. It’s a special time for us here at The Moat House, Acton Trussell, where we’re surrounded by nature.
SPRING A LITTLE TREAT
So how about springing a little treat on someone? Take a look at our one-night spring break. It includes a dainty afternoon tea in the orangery restaurant, a stay for two people sharing a room and breakfast for just £167, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in March. FAMILY FUN IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Easter is “late” this year, so there’s a better chance of good weather and plenty of family adventure on our doorstep. Get the kids active in the great outdoors from a central base in rural Staffordshire. Over at Alton Towers, Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, as well as JoJo & Gran Gran at Home join the CBeebies line-up.
EASTER THEMED EXCITEMENT
Explore Thomas Land and a 15-acre zoo at Drayton Manor Park or get up close and personal with the free-roaming Barbary macaques at Trentham Monkey Forest. The National Forest Adventure Farm has its Easter Eggstravaganza, Lambing Live and JCB driving experience all lined up for visitors. And we have a Kids Stay Free offer running throughout April, for children aged under 16, staying the night in a family room, including breakfast, based on two adults sharing.

You can be sure that we will make Easter eggs-tra special when you stay with us. You get to choose your eggs however you like them. Poached, scrambled, boiled or fried, you’ll be satisfied. We serve ours with a… smile! May - and all those bank holidays - will soon be here, with even milder weather and thoughts of eating alfresco, a cocktail or real ale enjoyed sitting by the lake, in this idyllic location.
